National Service Scheme
National service scheme is a student-centered public service program conducted by ministry of youth affairs. JDT ISLAM college of nursing has well functioned NSS unit. We officially launched our NSS unit on November 2022 with 50 students. On 24/01/2023 we switched our NSS unit to funded unit under Kerala University of Health Science, with register number of NSS/FU/KGD/KUHS/13. Now we have a well operational unit with 100 volunteers. NSS unit is very keen in arranging social activities in par with university standards. Our NSS unit also conducts yearly seven-day camp, and various medical camps for the public. Kuruvattoor panchayath, ward 15th is our adopted village.
Clubs
Clubs focus on the activities of students in various areas to enhance the students abilities in different sectors. Some of the clubs active in campus such as Sports club, Health club, Arts club, Literacy club, etc. Literary club in college focuses on reading, writing, and discussing literature, and host events like poetry readings or book discussions. Health club promotes wellness and fitness, offering activities such as workout sessions, nutritional workshops, and health awareness campaigns.

Student Nurses Association (SNA)

The Student Nurses Association, popularly known as SNA, is a nation-wide organization of nursing students. It was established in 1929 at the time of annual conference of the TNAI in Madras. Ms. L.N. Jean, the Nursing Superintendent of General Hospital, Madras was instrumental in forming this association.

The main purpose of forming the association by TNAI (Trained Nurses Association of India) was to provide vanities to the nursing students to facilitate their all-round development and accredit them to join TNAI as qualified nurses. It is remarkable achievement that the growth of SNA units has been persistent ever since its inception.

SNA is a major source of enrollment of TNAI Life membership. A wide variety of activities are encouraged at all levels for the SNA members, keeping in view aims and objectives of the association. The diversity of activities are derived from the professional, social, cultural and recreational spheres to strengthen curricular and extracurricular activities of the student nurses. SNA unit of JDT Islam College of Nursing is an active association formulated in the year 2005 at the beginning of College of nursing.
